Galerie Augustin is displaying the paintings of Bodo W. Klös, born in 1952, who is an observer of mankind and heroes of his youth John Lennon, Keith Richards and Jimi Hendrix make appearances in his work. Another protagonist in his many works is the crow. He devoted an entire book to them in 1997. The crows tell human stories but remain birds.
Angelika Littwin-Pieper discovers a person in every piece of driftwood she finds. Littwin-Pieper sculpts a matching head out of ceramic, and the shoulders, arms, and hands are applied with painted wood. These create fascinating personalities, which are ‘critical and amusing’ at the same time (Süddeutsche Zeitung 11.04.2002).
The exhibit will run through January 5th.
Open Thu-Fri 11:00-18:00
